Code of Conduct

Parents:

Parents are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times, and positive support of coaches and players of both our teams and the opposing team are requirements of every parent. We expect that you will not only set an example for your children, but also for the Township. Specifically, the following are strictly forbidden:

Verbal and/or physical abuse of players, coaches, or referees will not be tolerated, regardless of circumstances on all Washington Township properties, including practice and playing fields, and all common areas;

Profanity, taunting, trash talking, or bullying of any kind to your players, other players, coaches, spectators, or game officials will not be tolerated;

Consumption of alcohol, tobacco products or illegal drugs before or during games or practices is strictly forbidden;

No parents shall be any closer to the bench than the running track, unless parents are asked to volunteer to assist on the field.

Any violation of this code can result in your child’s team being penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct and/or your expulsion from the game. If the infractions persist, a permanent ban from all Panther Youth functions can and will be imposed.

Players:

Players are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times. Positive support of coaches and players of both our teams and the opposing teams are requirements of every player. We expect that you will set an example for your team, and also for the Township. Specifically, the following are strictly forbidden:

Verbal and/or physical abuse of players, coaches, or referees will not be tolerated, regardless of circumstances on all Washington Township properties, including practice and playing fields, and all common areas;

Profanity, taunting, trash talking, or bullying of any kind to your players, other players, coaches, spectators, or game officials will not be tolerated;

Throwing of helmets is forbidden in all cases, during games or practices, and will result in a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct and can be grounds for ejection during games.

I agree to uphold these standards and set a positive example in all Panther Youth Sports environments.
